Course description
This 4-day, lab-intensive course examines advanced WLAN network design, management and troubleshooting for the Cisco Unified Wireless Network. Detailed lecture and hands-on labs cover deployments based on lightweight access points, controllers and the advanced feature set as well as autonomous access points and the core feature set.

Advanced WLAN security, management and mobility services are also addressed including self-configuring, self-optimizing, and self-healing wireless networks, intrusion prevention systems, Network Admission Control (NAC), guest access, wireless VoIP and location services.

After you complete this course, you will be able to:
  • Describe detailed technical features, functions and benefits of the WLAN product offerings available from Cisco
  • Install advanced feature set hardware so that it functions optimally
  • Install and manage the CiscoWorks WLSE and infrastructure devices so that it functions optimally
  • Install and administer WCS WLAN management
  • Troubleshoot and maintain a wireless network
  • Administer security so that the network is safe from attack
