Deploying the Cisco Catalyst 6500 Virtual Switching System (VSS) v1.0 0.5 days Lecture/lab
Course description
Network operators increase network reliability by configuring switches in redundant pairs and by provisioning links to both switches in the redundant pair. A virtual switching system (VSS) combines a pair of Cisco Catalyst 6500 Series switches into a single network element. The VSS manages the redundant links, which externally act as a single port channel.

This half-day, hands-on course covers the design, deployment, and operations of the VSS system.

Who should attend
This course provides in-depth technical training for system engineers, network engineers, and field engineers who need to deploy, configure, and manage VSS.

Recommended prerequisites
  • CCNA certification or equivalent level of expertise is strongly recommended
